Winter Break

On winter break, we went to denver for vacation. It took 2 days to get there, day one we stayed at st. george, UT. day 2 we got to denver at about 9 PM. When we got to the hotel it was covered with snow, and one of our car's wheels got stuck in a little ditch, eventually my dad and 2 other guys got the car out. The next day we went to explore Denver. Denver,s population was about 590000 and the elevation was 1 mile high! They also get some snow too, they get about 5 feet of snow every (6o inches), but where i used to live gets about 9 feet (108) inches per year. We enjoyed denver for 4 days until we had to leave. one of the place we stopped was flagstaff,AZ. flagstaff had a population about 60000, elevation was 7000 and it was really nice. They also got a lot of snow 8 feet 3 inches in arizona! when we got back we watched alvin and the chipmunks in the movie theatre and watched the new year's countdown on TV. I had an amazing vacation.

A few weeks ago I got a kindle, an electronic ebook reader, wich can read books on a little screen it weighs only 10 ounces and it is really easy to read on. It costs $259 with a one year warranty, but i got it for $288 with a really good cover. You have to buy the books, but they are a lot cheeper and after about 70 books the price for the kindle is gone and can hold 1500 books. So far I 'v read 2 books on my kindle Gideon the Cutpurse and The Tar Man. It also has a text-to-speech function. It also has a search option that you can go on to websites right from your kindle. I do not use it because it charges you. A lot of people think it is free, but if you read the fine print in the instructions, it says buying the books are free not the search engine. Buying books are really easy you can buy it from the kindle and only takes about 10 seconds for delevery it already knows your card info so you can buy it in one click, if you only have your cumputer with you can buy it with one click online to if you are signed in to your amazon account.

Flickr

On flickr, I can post pictures for my family. On flickr i can upload pictures of stuff that i do or my pictures of my family to communicate with my cousins or other relatives that live far away. I can also use it to keep pictures safe, if my computer crashes or breaks i won't lose all my photos on my computer. When i post my pictures of my family vacations or family trips i will keep them private, and some stuff like a picture from a hockey game i might put online for everyone to see.

I love playing soccer. This year I was on an ayso team called BLAST. We had a lot of good players and did very good, we got 5 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. In the Playoffs we got to the semi- final stage, we were so close to winning, but we lost 2-1. Hopefully next year, we'll be in the finals!

Creativity

  1. How can I be creative in today’s world? I can be creative in today's world by blogging about my expierences, making a avatar, and a voki.

2. What part will the Internet play in helping me to be creative? Without internet I won't be able to make a blog, and a blog helps me be creative

3. If I can post my art, video, or writing work on the Internet for the world to see, will this make me work differently than if only my teacher was going to see it? I think so, because you are writing stuff that you want the whole world to see not just your teacher.
